How the comparison works
CoveragePrism helps visitors examine published information for specified 2027 non-SNP Medicare Advantage plans that include Part D. Visitors choose a state and county, identify an exact 2027 plan or an exact 2026 plan, and select two or three other county-listed plans. The tool presents differences and source status. It does not rank plans, recommend a switch, enroll anyone, or verify a person's coverage.
Sources and dates
Plan listings and benefit fields come from pinned CMS plan landscape and benefit releases. County names and identifiers come from U.S. Census county data. Where available, we check an interpreted benefit against a cited, plan-specific insurer document. A source link and the supporting document location accompany eligible findings in the result. Releases can change; a displayed field may be older than the latest insurer or CMS publication.
Evidence labels
- Supported by insurer document: a particular interpreted field has a cited plan-specific provision. It is not proof of personal eligibility or future coverage.
- Documented with conditions: source material describes a term, but conditions or differing structures prevent a simple dollar-to-dollar interpretation.
- CMS reported — document review pending: a CMS value is listed, while plan-specific insurer corroboration has not been established.
- Not established: the available sources cannot support a conclusion. We do not turn missing evidence into a zero cost or a favorable result.
What is outside the public comparison
Original Medicare, Medigap, standalone Part D, Special Needs Plans, personal address eligibility, doctors and provider networks, formularies, pharmacies, drug prices, expected use, total annual spending, and enrollment are outside this tool. A county listing alone does not prove that an individual can join a plan. The optional ZIP lookup may be unavailable; visitors can select state and county directly. Plans are shown alphabetically without a quality or fit ranking.
Fictional research example
Our example review uses a fictional beneficiary and a synthetic care scenario with real public plan data. It is not a delivered review for a real person. Its unresolved findings, including drug costs and some provider participation, remain unresolved.
Operational boundaries
Personalized assessment, customer health intake, payment, and report delivery have separate release requirements and are not currently public services. The public comparison needs no account or email. Any request form is gated until its privacy and storage requirements are met. This site is not affiliated with or endorsed by Medicare or the federal government. Medicare's official Plan Finder is available for broader plan shopping.
